1: Review your Constitution

At Christmas when we think of our constitution it’s often down to how much more food we can take before we fall asleep in front of the TV. And then we regret the weight we’ve put-on!

Equally, a charity’s constitution must not get too flabby in specifying its aims and ambitions. It should be regularly reviewed so that the Charity can be judged as meeting these expectations.

There’s no better time to do this than at the end of the calendar year. Amongst questions to be asked by Trustees might be…Do your current and future plans fit with your objectives? Are you activities too sedentary to achieve your goals? And what can you do to create momentum to take the Charity forward?
